Three Matches Set for “Glory By Honor XI”

Ring of Honor will present its next iPPV, “Glory by Honor XI”, on October 13 at the International Centre in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. Coming off the heels of “Death Before Dishonor X”, three matches have been announced for the next iPPV.

Michael Elgin will challenge Kevin Steen for the ROH World Title in both men’s native country. Truth Martini announced at “Boiling Point 2012” in August that Elgin will challenge for the ROH World Title at “Glory by Honor XI.” The match became official after Steen successfully defended the title against Rhino at “Death Before Dishonor X”. Martini originally promised the match to Roderick Strong, which only further led to problems between the House of Truth members. Strong may play some kind of role into the outcome of the match, but Elgin and Steen should put on a great match together.

Another title match has been announced for “Glory by Honor XI”, with Adam Cole defending the ROH World TV Title against Eddie Edwards. Edwards and Cole’s year have been intertwined throughout 2012. They have tagged together on several occasions, and Edwards has taken Cole under his wing. “Glory by Honor XI” will be a chance for Edwards to show Cole who is the student and who is the teacher. Cole will look to continue his meteoric rise in Ring of Honor, and nothing will help that rise more than a successful title defense against “Die Hard”.

The final match that has been announced thus far is Mike Mondo going one-on-one against Mike Bennett. The problems between these two men date back to “Best in the World 2012” where Mondo called out Bennett when Bennett was content to not wrestle on the show. Mondo won an impromptu match between the two and also snuck to ringside on a recent episode of ROH on SBG and had his way with Maria, which he promised to do if he beat Bennett at “Best in the World 2012”. Bennett was irate over Mondo’s actions and chased him to the back, which resulted in Bennett losing his match against Mike Sydal. The two will look to settle their differences at “Glory by Honor XI”.

“Glory by Honor XI” takes place October 13 in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. Keep checking ROHWorld.com as more matches are announced.
