Briscoe vs. Cole Title Match set for Border Wars

Jay Briscoe shocked the world to become ROH World Champion at Friday night’s ‘Supercard of Honor VII’ in New York City. He beat Kevin Steen to dethrone the champion’s almost year-length reign.

Adam Cole was scheduled to face Steen at ‘Border Wars’ but after Jay won the belt, Cole will now take on the new champion. It will be Jay’s first defence of his newly won title and it will be broadcast live on iPPV.

The show, from the Ted Reeve Arena in Toronto, ON, on May 4 is lining up to be yet another great card. Cole, who lost his ROH World TV title at the ’11th Anniversary Show’ to Matt Taven and will surely be looking to get some more gold around his waist.

But Jay, who is still coming off a shoulder injury, showed his heart and desire to beat Steen. It’s sure to be a war in Toronto and it will be live on iPPV!
