Details:

Jay Lethal def. Adam Page

Before the match, Lethal cuts a promo similar to the one last week on TV about not having ‘Killer Instinct’, which is why he kicked Matt Taven in the groin.

The match itself was said to have been a great opener including lots of chops to get the North Carolina crowd shouting Wooooooooooo! Adam Page even hit a shooting star press from apron to the floor.

The match ended in 13:08 with Jay Lethal hitting the Lethal Injection.

Mike Mondo def. QT Marshall

This match between newcomer QT Marshall and ‘No Fear’ Mike Mondo isn’t getting the best reviews on our forum. However, Mondo picked up the win in 11:15 with the double arm DDT.

Caprice Coleman & Cedric Alexander def. The Bravados

Both teams are from North Carolina, so great reactions from the crowd here. Said to have been the best match of the night by members of our forum.

C&C picked up the victory standing ranna-frog splash combo in 19:56.

Davey Richards addresses the crowd.

He says “I love wrestling, more importantly, I love it in a ROH ring.” He also name dropped Samoa Joe & Bryan Danielson. Davey says he’s very ashamed of the person he’s been out of the ring the last year. That he put his trust in the wrong people but that the Wolf is back! Davey closes his promo by saying he’ll be at Death Before Dishonor X in Chicago next week.

Mike Posey def. Jeff Lewis Neal

Mike Posey got the win with a top rope legdrop. After the match, Steve Corino and Jimmy Jacobs attack both men, presumably causing a ‘State of Emergency.’ Kevin Steen then comes out for a promo, announces that Jim Cornette isn’t at the show. Therefore, Steen is cancelling the main event so he doesn’t get injured before his match with Rhino next week. Rhett Titus then comes out, however all three members of S.C.U.M begin to beat him down, which leads The Briscoes to make the save.

The ring announcer then reveals that Kevin Steen will be fined if he doesn’t compete tonight so the Main Event is on.

Charlie Haas & Shelton Benjamin def. Michael Elgin & Roderick Strong

Haas was said to have went above and beyond to draw heat from the crowd. Even putting a fan’s baseball cap down his trunks at one poiunt. As usual, there was a lot of issues between Roddy and Elgin. Strong slapped Elgin at one point which led to WGTT being in control. Elgin went for a hot tag but Strong bailed on him.

The end of the match saw Haas put Strong in the Haas of Pain, and instead of breaking the hold, Elgin simply left the ring. This left Roddy with no choice but to tap out, giving WGTT the win in 14:45.

Proving Ground
Kyle O’Reilly def. Adam Cole

Davey Richards is out to watch this Best in the World 2012 rematch. Kyle O’Reilly picked up the win in 15:48 and earned a future shot at the TV title. He won via a rollup out of an attempted German Suplex by Cole, after Cole had been distracted due to Richards bickering with the referee on the ring apron.

Steel Cage Match
The Briscoes & Rhett Titus def. Kevin Steen, Steve Corino & Jimmy Jacobs

It took the ROH crew over 30 minutes to setup the cage. The match started outside the ring and was a brutal brawl, with blood already flowing  from the Briscoes before they’d got in the cage.

It was a 3 on 2 advantage for SCUM against Jay & Titus in the cage, as Mark took awhile to get in the ring after the outside brawl. Mark Briscoe climbed to the top of the cage and hit a moonsault!

Rhett Titus & The Briscoes were able to pick up the win in 16:22 after the Briscoes hit a doomsday device on Jimmy Jacobs.

After the match, Jay Lethal hits the ring and attempts to attack S.C.U.M, demonstrating his “killer instinct.”
