Exclusive Interview with Caprice Coleman

Caprice Coleman has been mostly a bit part player in Ring of Honor over the past 12 months or so. He has featured mainly on the company’s west coast shows such as SoCal Showdown but was given a chance to impress ROH Officials in ROH’s recent Richmond and Charlotte double-header. Coleman teamed with Cedric Alexander – a man he has formed a tag team with in ROH – and the C&C Wrestle Factory gave a very good account of themselves.

They were unlucky to lose to Adam Cole & Kyle O’Reilly in the semi-finals of the Tag Lottery in Richmond and the following night in Charlotte, they defeated the House of Truth (Michael Elgin & Chase Owens). With an impressive win under their belts, many ROH fans have been asking to bring back both men on a regular basis and we were lucky enough to grab a few minutes with the man himself, here’s what he had to say:

ROH World: – You’ve competed in a lot of different companies, what sets ROH apart from the rest?

Caprice Coleman: ROH is simply the best WRESTLING Company Around Today. The name alone proves that. When you come or see a show you see WRESTLING at it’s best. Given 110% every show by all particapents. No “night offs” here.

– How would you say Ring of Honor’s tag team division ranked alongside other companies’?

Funny you should asked I just watch the tag team champions defeated in a handicap match on another brand. As if the tag titles are a “on you way up title”. In ROH the Tag Tittles hold just as much prestige as the World and TV titles. It means something in ROH.

– What thing do you most look forward to when performing for ROH?

The crowd. There is nothing like an ROH crowd. If you can please them you are at the top of the crop. These fans only expect the best, and they are brutally honest…

– You’ve only appeared in ROH a few times over the past year or so, are you hoping to be more or a regular roster member?

Of course! I would love to be permanent part of this company. They are truly headed for greatness. I keep waiting for that day. Until then I’ll take what I’m given and make the best of it. To prove that I belong.

– You and Cedric Alexander teamed up last weekend and got an impressive win over the House of Truth, are you hoping that win will convince ROH Officials to bring you back?

That was a huge win for us, but for me I want them to see that I’m always going to give all I have for this company.

– If you do get brought back on a regular basis, would you like to team up more with Cedric or would we see Caprice go it alone as a singles wrestler?

Either way I’m grateful. Ced and I work well together. We also have similar  common goals. I know with him I’m not alone. I also know without him I’m not alone… I will make the best out of any situation im given. I know others would love to be in the position I’m in, and I dont take that for granted.

– If you could pick one person on the roster to wrestle who you have not yet faced, who would it be and why?

I’d go straight for the Champ whom ever it is at that time. THAT’S RIGHT I wanna know for myself what it takes to stand in that spot and how far I have to go to reach it. I’m not worried about the outcome because either way I come out a better man.

– Finally, have you got any words for the Ring of Honor fans?

Thanks for your support. You are the reason they bring me back. They listen to you.

I would also like to say never give up on your dreams. It was given to you for a reason that only you can benefit from.

Keep supporting ROH, REAL WRESTLING NEEDS TO BE SEEN.

We’d like to thank Caprice one again for taking some time out to chat with us. You can keep up with what he’s up to by following him on Twitter: @CapriceColeman.
