Final Battle: Plea To Fans‏

I guess most people who read this will be Ring of Honor fans. This is an ROH site after all. But even though that might be the case, I’m sure there are a few people here and there that stumble upon this site and this is for them.

Later on today, ROH presents ‘Final Battle 2011’ live on internet PPV. Final Battle is Ring of Honor’s Wrestlemania – the biggest show of the year where you’re guaranteed to see something special.

I’m not going to bore you with a backstory about me. All you need to know is that a couple of years ago, I was extremely close to losing total interest in something I’ve loved for most of my life – professional wrestling.

I’d gone through the motions with WWE and TNA and neither quenched my pro wrestling thirst for reasons that are quite obvious when you watch their products.

I found ROH and the rest is history. Every single iPPV I’ve ordered since ‘Death Before Dishonor VIII’ has been terrific. This might sound sad but ROH makes me happy. Happy that I can treat wrestling like I’m a kid again. I can actually get excited about shows and look forward to watching (hell, I’m writing this on the train on my way to work…). I literally can’t wait until tonight and that tells you how awesome ROH truly is.

There’s no excuse for missing tonight’s iPPV. It’s $14.95. That’s right, less than $15 (or 10 of your finest English pounds). Considering what you get in return, you’ll feel like an armed robber at the end of the show – I know I do.

Last year, Final Battle was special. So special that I’ve watched the DVD about five times since. I think i’ll remember the Kevin Steen and El Generico ‘Fight Without Honor’ for the rest of my life. The whole thing was just perfect.

This year, there are several matches that will catch anybody’s interest. Steen again stars as he takes on former mentor Steve Corino. I’ve no idea what will happen in this one, all I know is that these two men have been absolutely awesome for the past two years in ROH and really deserve a lot of credit.

Davey Richards vs. Eddie Edwards will undoubtedly be something special and then you have the Tag Team title match between Wrestling’s Greatest Tag Team and the Briscoes.

Those are just three matches on the card and all three wouldn’t look out of place as the main event.

I don’t want to bore you all with my waffle. It’s 9:45am and I have butterflies in my stomach because of a pro wrestling show that is 15 hours away. Does that make me sad? Or does that just prove what Ring of Honor is all about?

Give ROH a chance tonight if you haven’t before on iPPV – your mind will be blown. Ring of Honor is the hottest thing in pro wrestling today so hop on the bandwagon before it’s too late.

Do you want to watch wrestling again without being treated like a kid? Want to be able to say ‘yeah, I’m a pro wrestling fan’ without feeling ashamed? Why wouldn’t you?

Ring of Honor deserves to be seen by more people. You owe to yourself, as a pro wrestling fan, to watch tonight’s show. With CM Punk and Bryan Danielson sitting atop WWE’s kingdom, why not come and check out the promotion that put them on the map?

Professional wrestling needs ROH – it needs a true alternative that fans can believe in and get behind. Your $15 will not only ensure it does, it’ll be the best return from $15 you’ll ever receive.

The only thing that’s left to say is that ‘Final Battle 2011’ will make history; it will produce spectacular moments; it will create memories. Will you witness them? Go to to make sure you do.
