And what was wrong with that? You'd rather them actually have a winner? You do realize this is WWE...? Right?

He's still the best in the world.

I don't know why WWE has this culture of booking more or less every first-time champion like utter shit, whose sole purpose is to barely retain the belt until the next coronation for the Designated Main Eventer. It's idiotic booking in the long-term, because it hinders the title holder - especially since they're usually kicked down to midcard as soon as they drop the belt.
WrestlingMatters wrote:I know, if they're not sure about them carrying the title why give it to them in the first place? Why not slowly build them up and give them the belt when they actually believe in them.

Exactly, having your WWE Champion feuding for weeks with a guy who was never on camera and was just the Talent Relations guy (and judging by what wrestlers have said in interviews, a really bad one) is clearly only going to hurt his credibilty.D2Kvirus wrote:It says a lot that WWE are stumped that there isn't anyone on the roster who can step onto the same level as Cena or Orton, yet their booking is the number one thing that hinders it. Has nobody figured out that giving Batista a strong initial title reign made him for the remainder of his WWE career?
