ya know one of the things that made the WWF/WCW race so much better is that both companies were worried theyd lose talent to the other. When one guy would switch, most of the time it raised their stock. For the company that got the new talent, they had a new, ready-made, star who could be plugged into upper-mid card and main event feuds. And the company that lost the guy, now had a place to make a new star. Someone to step up and create fresh new matchups.
But the Rosters now, look so unchanged for so long. WWE doesnt see TNA as a threat, so they dont steal many guys away. When they do they still make them goto developmental. Their own guys? They have almost a monopoly on their contracts. and TNA creates buzz when they get Angle, Hardy, Christian, RVD, etc, but they hot shot their feuds so much it flares out before it has time to create new fans. How much would it help both companies if John Cena jumped ship? or Orton? or Jericho? How bout if AJ appeared on Raw? Would they even present him like we are supposed to know who he was? The problem is, the E built some of these guys up so quick, theyre just now reaching the point where they should be the main eventers. Cena & Orton have been winning titles for more years than the Rock was actually wrestling. Now the E cant make them Mid-carders again, theyve been winning world titles for 7-8 years already. And they wont let their stars go, so they sit. Stale at the Top. Not going anywhere. Doing the same thing and burying TV ratings and buyrates, Even the new stars...CM Punk? have you seen him main event a raw recently? last time he main evented a PPV? December. They have 2 GD world titles. So they have to build more guys up quicker. So things get stale faster. I love daniel bryan, but let that dude build for longer. If this was 15 years ago, his feuds w/ Show & Sheamus are great IC Title feuds, not a lesser world title. Then it means more when he does win a world title in a few years.
somethings gotta change. Cause those companies are killing themselves
