The best RAW in many years, I would say. But I'm sure that doesn't mean, RAW won't suck again in the weeks to come.

Agreed. The lack of Steve Austin, the heel-turn at the end, and the big segments (wedding, Brock/HHH) not delivering killed it for me.

Yep. Too much nonsense and not enough wrestling. But that's wwe for you.

It had its nostalgic moments, but I agree it was very underwhelming

That's how much wrestling Raw 1000, a three-hour wrestling show, featured.

I have a feeling Ryder will be joining Punk. He was posting on twitter how unhappy he is that they edit his online show, he was saying how many weeks since he had a match on raw. Why else would WWE allow him to post this without reprecaussion? Same with how the sites said punk threw away that kids autograph book at the airport the night before he turned. I think the fed leaked the story to add to Punk turning heel. How many random fans that would be at the airport actually care enough to email a wrestling news site?

I didn't think CM Punk actually turned heel as I was watching Raw. It wasn't like he really attacked cena in a cheap way, or help the big show. He mostly just attacked the Rock. From what it sounds like, he for sure is heel, but it makes sense for Punk to attack Rock, as Rock wants his title. He said last year, he was sick of Dwayne hogging the spotlight. Punk did get some cheers against too, when he clotheslined the Rock. I'd like to see face Punk vs. face Rocky, and see Punk tear into him and let the fans decide... I guess him as heel will be good too. It feels like he was heel just 12 months ago, as he was. I felt like Punk did as good of job as a face as Orton.

Overall the show was OK, and about what I was expecting with returns/legends and angles. AJ as GM seems like it could be a disaster.

Good luck with the 3 hours shows. I can't see this working out for them.

At the NXT taping tonight, Tyler Black has become the first-ever NXT Champion. They still aren't showing it nationwide. Way too much wrestling for their mickey mouse company.

TBF, I'd say the majority of wrestling shows in the history of pro wrestling have been character/storyline-development first, wrestling second.

If they do go down this route, like they did with Rock/Y2J competing for the WCW Championship during the Invasion angle, it would be more interesting than a straight face/heel dynamic - but, most of all, they need to let Punk off the leash promo-wise.

The main advantage of this is Punk actually has the ability for his character to show vulnerability that will allow the angle to slow burn, which Cena utterly failed to do in the Rock/Cena promo battles from earlier this year.

Great Raw tonight... lots of in ring action and good storyline development.. I live right outside of Cincinnati and I could kick myself for not going to this.. none of my friends wanted to go, but in retrospect going alone would have still been a hell of a lot more fun than sitting at my apartment.

Another Alberto Del Rio vs Sheamus match? This two must be good friends in real life and love to work with each other. Either that or wwe creative can't think of a fresher match. Could be both.

I guess my standards have been lowered in recent years, these days I'm just happy when Raw has some decent action and nothing has me holding my head saying "Dear God, what grown man thought this was a good idea?"
