Small Davey Richards Update

The annual junior heavyweight tag team tournament was announced for 9/8 to 9/22, with the finals at Korakuen Hall. The big question was answered as DaveyRichards is not on the tour and was replaced by Paul London. Richards was supposed to start and he and Zack Sabre Jr. were going to win the tournament en route to Richards being pushed as the top foreign junior heavyweight. But Richards decided against coming.

Thoughts?

He said in our interview with him that he was taking a break from Japan for a while to focus on his Indy work in America and ROH.

He felt burnt out and needed a break from the travelling.

He's booked to appear at a local indy here in Indianapolis against Jake Crist September 30th. Maybe he's just done with Japan for now.
