Haas & Benjamin Go It Alone

Two new matches were announced for ‘Supercard of Honor IV’ today; Charlie Haas will face Davey Richards and Shelton Benjamin goes up against Claudio Castagnoli.

Haas & Benjamin have lost just one match since joining ROH – their ROH debuts at ‘Glory By Honor IX’ against The Kings of Wrestling. The pair dubbed Wrestling’s Greatest Tag Team got revenge at ‘Honor Takes Center Stage’ though and became new ROH World Tag Team Champions.

They successfully defended their titles against The Briscoes at ‘ROH Revolution: Canada’ and now face their first singles matches in Ring of Honor.

Haas has been given the tough task of taking on Davey Richards. Haas & Benjamin beat The American Wolves in Atlanta the day after winning their titles but Richards is in a title hunt of his own and needs wins. Will Davey use his singles experience to good use and pick up an impressive victory that takes him closer to the World Title or will Haas show he can go it alone by proving why he’s one half of the best tag team on the planet?

The other half of WGTT – Shelton Benjamin – will go toe-to-toe with a man he’s no strangers with. Claudio Castagnoli is one half of The Kings of Wrestling and must still be smarting after they lost the belts to Benjamin & Haas in Atlanta. A win for Claudio would surely give The Kings a good case for a rematch at the Tag Titles whilst a victory for Benjamin would do even more damage to the tag team royalty.

They’ve proved they are the best tag team in ROH but now they face a different test, will they pass with flying colors or struggle to make their mark? We’ll find out on May 21st in Chicago Ridge.
