One of 2011’s greatest rivalries isn’t over just yet. Eddie Edwards and Roderick Strong waged war on each other for much of the past year, beginning at Manhattan Mayhem IV, where Edwards shocked ROH fans by winning the ROH World Title. The feud continued into both Supercard of Honor VI and Death Before Dishonor IX, with Edwards upending Strong on two more occasions to seemingly put the issue to rest.
And lay dormant it did, until this week when ROH announced that the two will do battle once more at The Homecoming. The catch this time: No Holds Barred. All things considered, Strong may need this win more than almost any other in his career; he needs to prove to himself and the world that he is an equal of Edwards. Edwards, himself chasing another shot at the ROH World Title, needs to prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that he is the clear cut top contender to the title. It’s Edwards and Strong with No Holds Barred January 20 in Philadelphia!
