Homecoming Rematch Signed for Baltimore‏‏‏

Last weekend in Philadelphia, Ring of Honor put on a show they titled Homecoming 2012.  Just one month shy of the tenth anniversary of the very first ROH show, which was held in Philly, the ROH roster went out and did what they do best: put on an incredible display of wrestling ability.  When the main event pitting World Champion Davey Richards against Jay Lethal ended, fans knew that they had truly seen something special, as two of the top guys in ROH went out and proved for nearly a half an hour that they worked for the leader of true professional wrestling.

Unfortunately, at one point during the match, Roderick Strong made the decision to get involved, and that may have been Lethal’s undoing.  Poised to drop a Flying Elbow on Richards, Lethal had the belt in his sights when Strong pushed him off the top rope.  Despite Richards and Lethal momentarily coming together to eliminate Strong, the damage was done, and Richards earned yet another successful title defense.

It was with that knowledge that Richards specifically asked for a rematch with the TV Champion.  ROH officials heard his request and have obliged.  When ROH returns to Baltimore, MD and the Du Burns Arena, Davey Richards will defend the title one more time against Jay Lethal!  With Lethal having come so close this past weekend, one has to wonder if Baltimore will be the place where Lethal makes history.  It all goes down February 4th in Baltimore!
