Jay Lethal to return to Ring of Honor

Ring of Honor today revealed the return of former ROH Pure Champion – Jay Lethal. Lethal has been a free agent since being released from his contract with TNA Wrestling and will make his return to ROH at ‘Best In The World 2011‘.

His opponent for the event has not been announced yet but whoever he faces off against will be taking on a very skilled wrestler in Lethal.  It will be the first time Lethal has stepped inside a Ring of Honor ring since his last appearance at ‘Fight of the Century’ back in August 2006.

He started off in Ring of Honor back in 2003 but really broke out in 2004 when he won the ROH Pure Championship by beating John Walters. He eventually dropped the belt to his mentor Samoa Joe at ‘Manhattan Mayhem’. Lethal was then involved in a feud with The Rottweillers – Low Ki & Homicide, with the latter currently in ROH after returning last year.. Lethal later challenged for both the ROH World Title – when he became CM Punk’s first challenger – and the ROH Tag Team Titles but to no avail.

The return of Lethal is great news for Ring of Honor fans and Jay Lethal supporters alike. Lethal will be able to show off his talents again and prove once more that he’s one of the best in the World.
