Former GHC and IWGP Tag Team Champion Karl Anderson will return to Ring of Honor April 5 at “Supercard of Honor VII” In New York City to wrestle Roderick Strong.
Strong recently demanded the best competition for the sold-out event, and he got just that. Anderson is one of the most accomplished wrestlers in Japan in recent years, and he challenged Hiroshi Tanashi for the IWGP Heavyweight Championship in February.
Although he came up short in the title match, Anderson will ride a wave of momentum heading into his Ring of Honor appearance in almost six years. He last competed for the company at “Survival of the Fittest 2007” and “Chaos at the Cow Palace,” but he was defeated in each match.
Strong will have his hands full at “Supercard of Honor VII” when he goes one-on-one with Anderson in the Hammerstein Ballroom.
