ROHWorld.com is delighted to report that, as of July 20th 2011, All Night Express members Kenny King and Rhett Titus have both inked fresh deals with Ring of Honor Wrestling.
King & Titus follow the lead of fellow stars, such as Tommaso Ciampa, that have also committed themselves to the pure wrestling promotion, in recent weeks.
What ROH contracts have traditionally stipulated is that talents are free to accept bookings for other promotions (either in North America or overseas), with ROH’s consent. However, Ring of Honor has always retained first option on the usage of any signed talent.
Whether or not the recent Sinclair Broadcast Group takeover will alter this status quo, is something that has yet to become clear.
One thing that is clear, however, is that the ANX are one of the fastest-rising acts in all of professional wrestling. This renewed agreement indicates that ROH is willing and able to match their lofty ambitions, going into the SBG era.
In an statement on ROHWrestling.com, ROH Executive Producer Jim Cornette clarified the thinking behind the ANX deal by predicting that “tag team gold is certainly in their future” and also by labelling the duo as potential “breakout stars of the year”.
Meanwhile, King & Titus have been confirmed for the inaugural SBG tapings, on August 13th in Chicago Ridge, IL.
