Main Event Set for ‘Best in the World 2013’

The main event for Ring of Honor’s “Best in the World 2013” has been announced as ROH World Champion Jay Briscoe will defend the title against his younger brother Mark.

That is, of course, if Jay survives the next month as champion. He has several tough title defenses leading up to the iPPV as he will put the belt on the line in matches against Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards, respectively.

Jay seems confident in his abilities to make it to Baltimore with the belt around his waist. He told ROH Matchmaker Nigel McGuinness that he could beat anyone in Ring of Honor, which is a statement Mark took issue with. Mark issued the challenged, and now the match is set.

The two are obviously familiar with each other. They grew up together and have held the ROH World Tag Team Titles eight times. But they are also no strangers when standing across the ring from each other and have had a few great matches against each other.

Another chapter in the sibling rivalry will be written June 22 at “Best in the World 2013” in Baltimore’s Du Burns Arena when Jay defends the title against Mark. The show can be seen live on iPPV, and ROHWorld.com will provide comprehensive coverage of the event.
