Two New Matches Set For Border Wars iPPV

Two new matches have been set for the ‘Border Wars 2013’ iPPV in Toronto, Canada.

Firstly, the team of Jay Lethal and Michael Elgin will take on two members of SCUM. Lethal and Elgin faced off in singles action at ‘Supercard of Honor VII’ with Elgin winning and earning himself a future ROH World Title shot. However, the pair will have to put their differences aside at Border Wars. During this week’s TV show, Steve Corino and Nigel McGuinness got into an argument, with Corino demanding a member of SCUM should get a title shot. Nigel refused but said if a team picked by Corino could beat Lethal and Elgin, any member of SCUM could get an ROH World Title shot. Corino made it clear that Matt Hardy would be the man but Nigel also said that if Lethal and Elgin win, Corino will be gone from ROH. If SCUM win, Corino will also be the new color commentator following Caleb Seltzer’s absence.

The other newly announced match sees BJ Whitmer face former tag team partner Rhett Titus in an I Quit match. At the ’11th Anniversary’ Titus joined SCUM, turning his back on Whitmer in the process. They faced off at ‘WAR’ with Titus winning after using a roll of quarters. Now the two will collide again, with Whitmer surely wanting revenge for previous attacks.

Other matches already announced for ‘Border Wars 2013’ from the Ted Reeve Arena on Saturday, May 4, are Caprice Coleman & Cedric Alexander vs. ACH & TD Thomas as well as Matt Taven defending his ROH World TV title against Mark Briscoe. GHC Jr. Heavyweight Champion Taiji Ishimori takes on Eddie Edwards and Jay Briscoe puts the ROH World Title on the line against Adam Cole.
