Ciampa hits a series of knee strikes to put Marshall away for the three count.

Winner by Pinfall: Tommaso Ciampa

ROHWorld.com’s Thoughts: This wasn’t a match I was really excited to see, but it turned out to be a very good match. The intensity between the two from the heated feud was highlighted throughout the contest and it added the extra dimension it needed. Marshall looked good in this match, and he’s really improved since being paired up with Evans. Ciampa looked great by getting his revenge on Marshall. This got the show off on the right foot.

It’s time for Inside ROH. Steve Corino says destiny shines on SCUM in one week when Matt Hardy becomes the ROH World Champion. We recap Nigel McGuinness’ decision to add Kevin Steen to the Steel Cage Warfare match. Michael Elgin says he deserves to be in the main event in ROH’s return to Toronto.

Nick Merriman vs Mike Bennett w/ Maria and Brutal Bob

Bennett follows the Code of Honor only to pull Merriman into the Box Office Smash. The bell rings and Bennett connects with the TKO and gets the three count.

Winner by Pinfall: Mike Bennett

Bennett takes the microphone and asks if he should stay or go. He has an official ROH contract and says they have been begging for him to stay. He says it’s a long of lucrative contract. He says people boo him but cheer people like Cheeseburger. Bennett offers the contract to Cheeseburger. He superkicks Cheeseburger and beats him down. Bob pulls Bennett off and tries to help Cheeseburger. Bennett destroys Bob with a Box Office Smash. He says the Prodigy is dead before walking out.

ROH World Champion Jay Briscoe makes his way to the ring. He says the only way Matt Hardy will win the title is if he pries it from Jay’s cold dead hands.

ROH World Tag Team Championship

ROH World Tag Team Champions reDRagon defend vs C & C Wrestle Factory

O’Reilly and Alexander start the match off for their teams. O’Reilly is able to fight off C and C long enough to tag in his partner, who does have much more success than O’Reilly. Coleman and Alexander hit stereo dropkicks to stop and reDRagon double team attempt. Fish and O’Reilly get sent to the outside and Alexander hits a suicide dive to take them out as the show goes to break.

Back from commercial and the challengers are in control. The American Wolves are watching the match from the top of the ramp. reDRagon finally gain control of the match after a double team attack on Coleman. Corino gets into it with the Wolves. SCUM comes down and attack the Wolves. Adrenaline RUSH join the fight on the outside as the match still goes on inside. Coleman breaks up an armbar attempt by O’Reilly on Alexander. C and C hit a double stomp and backbreaker combination on Fish but O’Reilly breaks up the pin. Alexander hits a huge dive on everyone on the outside. C and C tries for OverTime, but Fish blocks it. They connects with Chasing the Dragon on Coleman to retain.

Winners and STILL ROH World Tag Team Champions: reDRagon

ROHWorld.com’s Thoughts: This was a weird match. The challengers were in control for almost the entire duration until the weird brawling at the end. Everyone coming to ringside is already getting annoying. There needs to be a better way of setting up feuds than repeating the same thing over and over again. I’m getting get of every C &C title match being surrounded in controversy. I’m not sure if ROH is trying to protect them or set up a heel turn, but it was old months ago. Still, it was a decent enough match and the one that should have been on the iPPV.
