ROH Tag Titles Now Vacant

Due to Kenny King’s departure from Ring of Honor, the All Night Express have been stripped of the ROH World Tag Team Titles, leaving the belts vacant for the first time since 2008.

To crown new tag team champions, an eight team tournament has been set up to begin at the August 3 television taping at a The Du Burns Arena in Baltimore. All of the opening round matches will be featured at the TV tapings.

The semi-finals and finals of the tournament will take place at a later date, but Ring of Honor has yet to announce any specifics.

Two teams have been confirmed thus far for the tournament. The first team announced was seven-time ROH World Tag Team Champions Jay and Mark Briscoe. The second team announced is also a team of brothers, as the Young Bucks of Matt and Nick Jackson are also in the tournament.

More teams are set to be announced in the coming days.
