ROHWorld Weekend Roundup (11/10/12)

ROH TV Taping Spoilers

Ring of Honor wrapped up its final set of television tapings Saturday from the Rostraver Ice Garden in Belle Vernon, Pa., thus starting the build to Final Battle on Dec. 16. For full spoilers, click here.

Nigel McGuinness was announced as the new matchmaker in ROH, since Jim Cornette was written out at the Oct. 8 Rahway show. Nigel immediately announced Kevin Steen would defend his world title at Final Battle against El Generico in a ladder war.

This marks the fourth ladder war in company history. The first two ladder wars saw the team of Steen and Generico take on the Briscoes and the American Wolves respectively. Nigel alluded to the team’s history with the stipulation when he announced the match.

If Ring of Honor dig into their library of ladder war footage, while providing a comprehensive background on the three-year Steen-Generico saga, new and old fans alike should flock to Final Battle.

Final Battle Card

Six matches are set for the internet pay-per-view thus far. The card looks like this:

  • ROH World Title: Kevin Steen (c) vs. El Generico – Ladder War!
