Steel Cage Warfare Returns To ROH!

Ring of Honor today announced the return of one of the most violent and barbaric matches in company history, the Steel Cage Warfare!

On June 23 at the Du Burns Arena in Baltimore, MD, a team of four Ring of Honor wrestlers will go up against SCUM in only the fourth Steel Cage Warfare match in ROH history.

The match has huge ramifications for the company going forward and is probably the most important match in ROH history. If team ROH wins, SCUM will have to disband and honor will indeed live. However, if Steve Corino’s men are victorious, Corino will assume Nigel McGuinness’ position as ROH matchmaker and the beginning of the end will be upon us.

The match will go down on TV, the day after ‘Best In The World 2013’ and is the same day that Matt Hardy can win the ROH World Title from either of the Briscoe brothers.

Steel Cage Warfare is a match that was introduced in 2005 to end the feud between Generation Next and The Embassy. Austin Aries, Roderick Strong, Jack Evans and Matt Sydal fought The Embassy’s Jimmy Rave, Prince Nana, Abyss and Alex Shelley with Generation Next coming out on top.

Glory By Honor VII hosted the second ever Steel Cage Warfare match as Austin Aries and The Briscoes went up against The Age of the Fall of Jimmy Jacobs, Tyler Black and Delirious with Necro Butcher also getting involved.

The third instalment at Caged Collision saw Roderick Strong, Brent Albright, Erick Stevens, Jay Briscoe and Ace Steel defeat Larry Sweeney’s Sweet & Sour Inc consisting of Adam Pearce, Tank Toland, Eddie Edwards, Davey Richards and Bobby Dempsey.

Steel Cage Warfare comes to ROH TV for the first time ever and with the match having such a big bearing on the future of the company, this is one not to miss!
