Update: We have spoken to TJ Perkins regarding his ROH release. He confirmed that he requested his release at the latest set of ROH TV tapings. To listen to the full interview regarding TJP’s latest ROH run and his recent release, click here.
Original Story: We have learned that TJ Perkins has been released from his Ring of Honor contract. It is not known at this time whether his release is due to his appearance as PUMA at the Impact Wrestling TV taping earlier today.
TJP signed an ROH contract in October 2011 and after being given a summer hiatus, was last seen at the August 3 TV tapings in Baltimore, MD.
There was a lot of buzz surrounding his deal with ROH after large parts of the fan base expressed their interest in seeing TJP on a more regular basis. However, he had been used sparingly during his ROH run and rarely picked up victories.
Ring of Honor executive producer Jim Cornette said at the time: “It’s a great asset to have TJ Perkins under the ROH banner. There are few men as well traveled, as well seasoned, especially at such a young age, as Perkins and that experience is going to serve him well here in Ring of Honor. There’s not too many men who can match him for speed and technique, so the ROH roster is certainly in for a shake-up with TJ now part of the fold.”
When we know more details regarding this matter, we will post it right here on ROHWorld.com. We have reached out to TJ Perkins to find out more about the situation.

Such a shame, her would have fitted in perfectly had they just used him.
