Ring of Honor today announced that Toronto would be hosting a TV taping on Sunday, May 5 to go alongside the already announced ‘Border Wars 2013’ iPPV on Saturday, May 4.
Both events will take place at the Ted Reeve Arena, where Kevin Steen won the ROH World title at ‘Border Wars 2012′ in May of last year. The iPPV kicks off at 7.30pm EDT with the TV tapings the following day taking place in the afternoon, with a bell time of 2pm.
Tickets for the iPPV are now on sale while tickets for the TV taping go on sale to Ringside Members on Wednesday, January 16 with the general public able to purchase from Friday, January 18.
Doing two shows in two days at the same arena will drastically reduce costs for ROH and they are doing a similar thing in March when the Frontier Fieldhouse in Chicago Ridge, IL hosts a TV taping one day after the ’11th Anniversary Show’ iPPV.
It will be the first time a TV taping has been held outside of the United States and is just reward for Toronto, which has been a reliable market for ROH and is notorious for its lively crowds.
